about

SCAPE ONE/Kurt Baggaley

From Robots to Hip Hop:::
South Cast B-Boy Kurt Baggaley was just 15 when he appeared on TV’s ‘That’s Life!’ demonstrating his robotic-dancing skills. From this auspicious beginning, it was a life of popping, breaking, graffiti, DJing and early forays into drum programming, picking up his Scape One tag along the way.

Transparent Transit:::
As executive co-producer for several releases for London Based Electro outfit ‘Transparent Sound’ Kurt then went on to stamp his own individual sound with Miami’s premier New School Electro label ‘Mass Transit’ with the futuristic machine funk of ‘The Okeechobee EP’.

Simply Electric:::
This was followed almost instantly by the release of the much acclaimed ‘Simple Machines EP’ for Germany’s finest Electro label ‘World Electric’ which proved to be a big hit amongst the Electro community. This track will feature on the upcoming CD compilation ‘Neo Future Vol. 1 on Belgium’s ‘Edel’ records, another track from the same EP will appear on an upcoming compilation Beats Clash CD for ‘Longhaul’ records which is Transparent sound vs Radioactive Man!

Blue Breaks:::
As one half of ‘Dangerous Frontier’s’ the brilliant ‘The City’ appeared on the ‘Bedrock Breaks’ compilation mixed by ‘DJ Hyper‘.
Straight after this came the excellent remix of ‘Rob Euroh‘s‘ ‘Reprogram’ for ‘Blue Juice Records’ which in turn was followed by the 80’s styled ‘Milieu’ as featured on ‘Emoticon’s’ third sampler EP.

Reclaim the Planet:::
Next up in March is ‘Reclaim The Future EP’ for New York’s ‘Satamile’ records which will be followed by ‘The Fizzy soda EP’ on ‘Emoticon’ in April.
Then the long-awaited ‘Planet Funk Express’ double pack will be released on ’Billy Nasty’s ‘Electrix’ imprint.

In the Future:::
Also to be released is the track ‘Futurity’ which will be released on ‘DJ Glow’s ‘Trust’ records in Austria. Also Scape One’s remix of ‘Multiplex’s ‘Rock Robot’ will be released on the forth-coming Multiplex Album for Toytronics Recordings’ and another Scape One EP for SCSI records.

The Brighton connection:::
Other projects in motion are recordings for Stripe Records, Exalt Records and Remote Records all of which are based in Brighton.
